tapID is a digital business card platform that leverages NFC technology to allow you to share your contact information, social media profiles, and more with a simple tap. Our solution combines physical NFC cards with a digital profile management system to create a seamless networking experience.
When you sign up for tapID, you'll create your digital profile and order a physical NFC card. Once your card arrives, you can tap it against any NFC-enabled smartphone to instantly share your contact information.
Most modern smartphones (iPhone 7 and newer, most Android devices) support NFC technology and can interact with tapID cards. For older devices without NFC, all tapID cards include a QR code that can be scanned with any smartphone camera to access your digital profile.

Account & Setup

Creating a tapID account is simple. Click on the "Get Started" button on our homepage, enter your email address, create a password, and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your profile. You can then order your physical NFC card and start customizing your digital profile immediately.
After creating your account, you'll be guided through the profile setup process. You can add your name, job title, company, contact information, social media links, and more. You can also upload a profile photo and company logo. Your profile can be updated at any time from your dashboard.
Yes, depending on your subscription plan. The Team plans allow you to create multiple profiles that can be associated with different NFC cards. This is useful if you have different roles or want to share different information in various contexts.

NFC Cards

tapID offers three types of NFC cards:
  • Original: Our standard NFC card.
  • Custom: Customized card with your QR code.
  • Premium: Metal NFC card with premium finish and engraved design
All cards include NFC technology.
tapID cards are designed to be durable and long-lasting. The NFC technology inside the cards has no battery and will continue to function indefinitely. Our standard cards are made from high-quality PVC, while our premium cards are crafted from metal, providing even greater durability.
Yes! That's one of the major benefits of tapID. The physical card contains a link to your digital profile, which you can update at any time through your dashboard. When you update your digital profile, all information shared through your card is automatically updated, with no need to order a new physical card.
Standard orders typically ship within 3-5 business days and arrive within 7-10 business days. Custom and premium cards may take an additional 3-5 business days for production. Expedited shipping options are available at checkout for faster delivery.

Yes, all tapID plans include basic analytics that show you how many times your card has been tapped or scanned. Professional and Enterprise plans offer enhanced analytics with details on which links visitors click, geographic location of views, time of day, and more to help you measure the effectiveness of your networking.

Security & Privacy

Yes. All payments are handled through Stripe, which is PCI‑DSS compliant and uses bank‑level encryption to keep your transaction data safe.
When you confirm your purchase, payment details are sent directly to Stripe’s secure servers—tapID never sees or stores your card data.
No. tapID does not store any card details—everything is tokenized and managed securely by Stripe.
Yes, security is a top priority at tapID. Our servers are hosted in secure, SOC 2 compliant data centers, and we regularly undergo security audits to ensure your information remains protected.
Only people you choose to share your card with can access your digital profile. Your information is not publicly searchable or indexed by search engines. You have complete control over what information you include in your profile, and you can update or remove information at any time.
No, tapID does not sell your personal information to third parties. We use your information only to provide and improve our services. For more details on how we handle your data, please review our Privacy Policy.
If you cancel your subscription, your digital profile will remain accessible for 15 days after your billing cycle ends. After that period, your profile will be deactivated, and your card will no longer direct people to your information. You can request to have your data permanently deleted by contacting our support team.
